What is ShootOut?

A ShootOut competition is a single stableford handicap event with a twist

First you play your 18 holes stableford using your handicap like normal. Once the 18 holes are completed, all players meet and there is a random draw of six holes. The eight players with the highest scores for those six holes will be that days ShootOut participants. In the case of a tie, a putt-off will decide the remaining positions in the ShootOut. Then the ShootOut participants do battle in a sudden-death play-off format over three holes.

On the last hole, it's down to just three to decide the ShootOut champion. This is the most exciting new golfing event where competitors can not only test their golf game – but also their nerve. It's a tournam
ent for golfers looking for something just a little different from their golfing experiences.

The ShootOut is a golfing event that favours nobody. On any given day, man, woman, a, b, or c grader, all have the opportunity to become a ShootOut champion. Even with 30 points or less from your round of golf, with a touch of luck, added to a little good management and some good play under the gun, anyone can be a ShootOut champion.

Can you handle the pressure of a gallery?

ShootOut will let you test your nerve. So come and test yourself under the ShootOut format and see how you stand up to what the pro’s face daily.

How does it Work?

  • Play your 18 holes stableford using your handicap
  • random six draw of holes to decide the ShootOut participants
  • A putt-off will decide ties for positions in the ShootOut
  • The best 8 do battle in a sudden-death play-off format over three holes
  • Then its down to just three to decide the ShootOut Champion!
